My Facebook entry Explained
I made a statment on Facebook the other day..."I don't need profanity on my Facebook, and I don't need to hear your political views, so if you disappear as a friend, take it personally, because it is".
On Profanity....I use it, when appropriate. It emphasizes a point. It can be humourous. It can be attention getting, but one has to pick and choose the moment. I don't use it as a normal part of conversation. Hell, I have been known to go a whole 10 minutes without use of the "F" word. I do find it offense at inappropriate times and conditions. I do not find it appropriate on Facebook. My wife and children read my Facebook and I do not need them subjected to profanity just for the sake of it. I am not speaking of the "lighter side" of profanity, but the heavy duty side. So, if you find the need to use some of the "F" and "C" words on your Facebook, the only way I can stop them showing up on mine is to delete you as a friend.
I don't consider Facebook to be a political soap box....if you do, then you are history.
People who know me, know that I have very strong views on a number of issues. Those that know me and do not agree with my views, tend to stay away from those topics. It is just common sense...do not discuss religion or politics with friends. A rule I choose to abide by...most of the time. I will never initiate a conversation on those subjects, but have been known to vigourously jump in should the chance arrive. This, believe me, is not a pretty sight.
If you think it is OK for them to build a Mosque at Ground Zero....keep it to yourself. If you think that Arizona's immigration laws are discriminatory....keep it to yourself. If you think the Canadian government should let a boat load of illegal refugees "Tamil Tigers" into this country....keep it to yourself.
Facebook is for friends. If I want profanity I can watch TV. If I want politics I can read a paper or go to one of thousands of other websites. I just want to converse with friends.

50th Anniversary Banquet
We had a blast from the past. A lot of old friends we haven't seen in years were there and it was just like old times. For me, of particular note was seeing old friends, Gary Magwood, Clive Rayman and Brian Stewart. Gary was a formidable Formula Atlantic driver, Clive Formula Ford and Brian, well what can I say. Brian Stewart Racing has probably done more to promote Canadian drivers ( including Paul Tracy) up through the Indycar ranks.
......................Brian Stewart (Brian Stewart Racing) and Gary Magwood
..........Brian Stewart, Norris McDonald (Toronto Star) and Clive Rayman.
Even though it has been years since we have seen one another, you fall back into relationships very fast and except for the added bit weight, graying hair, or lack of it, it is like a leap back in time.
In 1962, Stirling Moss donated one of his trophies to BARC. Since then it has been awarded yearly to the highest finishing BARC member in the Ontario Region Championship. In 1970 I was fortunate enough to have my name placed on it. In 1981, Davy Jones. In 1982, Scott Goodyear and in 1987, Ron Fellows. I guess I am in fairly good company.
The evening ended earlier than I had hoped but it was good fun. Maybe we can all get together again for the 60th anniversary.

S**T Happens, The Continuation.
The first video was actually the second lap under yellow....a bit slower and more correct in execution. The second video was the first lap....not good form.
The following day I had a passenger for the first race. Having heard of the previous days excursion, she was well prepared for any eventuality. Drivers suit, helmet, Hans device and racing boots.
